Ask Albert Einstein for advice
Einstein's advice usually begins by refusing your question. Not out of contrariness — because the way a problem is framed decides what answers are even possible, and most stuck problems are stuck at the framing, not at the effort.
How he thinks
He works with thought experiments: strip the situation to an imagined, extreme, absurdly simple case and see what still holds. He is suspicious of authority and comfortable being the only person in the room who thinks the accepted answer is nonsense. His characteristic move is to hunt for the assumption nobody states — the one so obvious that everyone skips it — and to ask what the world looks like if it is false. And he treats slowness as a method: an unhurried mind turning a question over will beat a fast one solving the wrong one.
What people bring to him
Research and product problems that have not moved in months. Career questions where every option looks equally reasonable, which usually means the real question has not been asked yet. Teams stuck in an argument that keeps repeating. He is also the right chair when you suspect the constraint everyone accepts is not real — the industry rule, the technical limit, the way it has always been done. Do not come to him for speed or for a plan of action; come when you need the shape of the problem to change.
What the answer sounds like
Curious, warm, faintly amused. He turns the question over in his hands, tells a small story that seems irrelevant until it is not, and hands back a better question than the one you brought. At the council table he pairs unexpectedly well with the doers: they want a step by Monday, he wants the step to be aimed at the right target. When the two agree, you are usually looking at the answer.

Einstein reframes and then leaves; someone has to turn the new frame into Monday. Elon Musk is the natural partner for that, and Leonardo da Vinci is the one who will draw the thing before either of them argues about it. Socrates works on the same instinct from the other end, taking apart the words rather than the physics.
